Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making the SVGCuts Gingerbread House Box Card from their Yuletide Box Cards Kit for my daughter’s birthday.
Above is a screen shot of the images in Cricut Design Space. With SVGCuts files, always remember to change the scorelines to score (not cut) and attach them to the appropriate pieces. Also, SVGCuts has assembly videos that demonstrate how to assemble the project from start to finish – pretty awesome!!
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Nutmeg and Linen – both new colors this (last) year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it looks like a lot of pieces, but the assembly video walks you through step-by-step. Really, she makes it sooooooo easy!!
I used a CTMH stamp set from one of their card making workshops and used CTMH Chocolate ink.
Above is the front panel with the trim attached on the left and with enamel dots from my stash added on the right.
This is the middle insert piece – looks simple so far, right?
The top pic is the inside of the back piece and the bottom pic is the back side. Don’t the windows look cool???
Here is a side view where the insert is attached to the back panel.
Finally, the front panel is attached to the rest of the card, creating a 3-dimensional gingerbread house card. That folds flat . . . so it fits in an envelope . . .
I added Nuvo pearl drops as berries and Crystal Stickles to glitter up the chimney on the back panel. The middle panel has pearls from my stash. And, the front panel has the enamel dots, I mentioned earlier, some red gems and more Nuvo pearl drops.
This card came out amazing! Did I mention that it folds flat to fit in an envelope?!?! Yep, it does.
