Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making an SVGCuts Adirondack Chair Box Card from their ‘Garden Party Box Cards’ Kit.
Above is a screen shot of the card in Cricut Design Space – hmm, doesn’t look too bad, right?
Here’s a screen shot of the finished card from the SVGCuts website.
Above are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Hollyhock, Topiary, White Daisy, Whisper.
The hibiscus flowers are from the SVGCuts ‘Tiki Party’ Kit.
I used a Zebra Print embossing folder from provo craft to emboss the flower petals and then inked the centers with CTMH Hollyhock ink.
Assembly of the flowers was pretty straight forward – glue them in a circle and glue the stem to the center.
I added black glitter to the flower centers and CTMH glimmer to the leaves.
The edges of the chair pieces were inked with CTMH Cashmere ink.
SVGCuts has an assembly video that demonstrates how to assemble the card from start to finish – definitely worth the time it takes to watch it. I usually watch all the way through and then watch again while I’m assembling.
The white piece sticking up is for a pillow, but I wanted to put hibiscus flowers on it instead. See? You can customize your cards . . .
Here’s a front view of the finished card. The envelope is also from SVGCuts – part of the card svg files – I love the curved flap.
And a back view – the piece on the back is a towel where you can put a sentiment.
The awesome thing about box cards is that you can fold them flat and put them in an envelope . . .
