Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

My grandson is turning five and I am making him a Star Wars BB8 birthday card. He loves all things Star Wars, soooooo fun!!! Above is the Cricut Design Space design I created for the card.

I got a Star Wars BB8 image on the Internet, uploaded it into Cricut Design Space as a print and cut image, and cut it out on my awesome Cricut.

I got the font from dafont.com and it is called StarJedi. Fonts from this website are for personal use only – which means you cannot sell products that have this font on them.

The 5’s were also created using the StarJedi font.

I used Close To My Heart cardstock in White Daisy, Whisper and Black.

I ran the 5’s through my small Xyron – this is the easiest way to put adhesive on small pieces – and then misted them with Perfect Pearls – now they’re all nice and glittery.

Then, I used the ColorBox chalk Blackbird ink from my April Cocoa Daisy kit on the edges, adding dimension to the layer and creating an edge between this layer and the card base.

Finally, I embellished BB8 with Stickles in Copper, Silver and Black Diamond. Using glitter glue adds dimension and emphasizes what you want to emphasize – AND it adds some sparkle, oh yeah . . .

Next is the envelope.

I am using my We R memory keepers envelope punchboard (one of my favorite card making tools) – they have an awesome phone app where you enter your card dimensions and it calculates the paper size and punch guide measurement you need. So, above is an iPhone screenshot of what I entered, the paper size I need, and the punch guide measurement.

Here is the envelope after it was punched, scored, and the corners are rounded.

And . . . Here is the finished card and envelope. They came out soooooo good. This picture does not do it justice – the glitter glue really stood out and made it look awesome!!!

Here’s the inside of the card. I used Black Diamond Stickles and it has colored glitter that also really adds dimension to the words.
