Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making cards using the Close To My Heart Share A Smile Card Kit.

The CTMH card kits include the basics needed to make a set of cards. Above is a pic of what came in this kit – eight sheets of two-toned colored cardstock (Bashful, Smoothie, Lagoon, Eggplant, Glacier, Thistle, Sweet Leaf and New England Ivy), gold glitter cardstock, instructions, a stamp set, coordinating dies, card bases and envelopes.
Here are all the cutout pieces. The colored rectangles are 3/4” x3” – one of each color per card; the triangles are cut from 2 3/4” squares – one of each color per card; the White Daisy rectangles are 3/8” x 1 3/4” – one per card; the gold glitter rectangles are 1/2” x 2” – one per card.
I cut the animals out of White Daisy cardstock with the dies from the kit and my eBosser.
Then I used my MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented) and archival black ink to stamp the die cuts.
I painted the animal cutouts with the CTMH watercolor set. If you’re using watercolors, make sure you use a permanent ink – otherwise the black may run and make a mess.
There are two styles of cards in this kit. This one has ombre stripes. The stamp set is called ‘Punny Pals’ and has the cutest sentiments.
The other style of card uses the triangles. Isn’t that bunny so so cute????
I made four of each of the above cards – there were several other animals as well – the frog and the koala are adorable. These cards took me about two hours from start to finish. Wouldn’t these make great valentines?
