Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making Close To My Heart Lil Dreamer Cards.
The workshop came with the above instruction packet (downloaded and printed from the CTMH website) that tells what paper to use, the sizes needed for each card piece, and how to assemble each card. These cards are adorable!! The colors and designs are just so happy!
Unfortunately, this stamp set is no longer available, but you could definitely use a different unicorn and rainbow stamp set to make cards that are similar to these.
The MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented) is the best stamping tool I own!! The magnets hold my paper in place and the cover holds the stamp in place, so I can stamp over and over again until it’s the darkness I want.
I made these unicorns for some of the cards. First I embossed the unicorn with white embossing powder, used watercolors on the horn, nose, mane, and tale, fussy cut around the unicorn, and put CTMH Liquid Glass on the horn, nose, mane and tail.
Card #1:
Here are the pieces for the first card. The long blue pieces are ‘zip strips’ – they are along the edge of the 12×12 sheets. They add more color and design options for projects. Here’s the finished card – I love, love, love the colors.
Card #2:
On the left are the pieces for the 2nd card – and the finished card is on the right. This card was soooooo easy!!
Card #3:
This card has a watercolor wash, star stamps, and a rainbow on the background. This card also has one of the unicorns on it – didn’t it come out great????
Card #4:
Isn’t this sentiment awesome?? One of my favorites. Um, I forgot to take a picture of the pieces before I made this one . . . Sorry . . .
Card #5:
The card pieces are on the left – not many . . . I speckled the background as I painted the rainbow gradients. The clouds on either side of the sentiment are fussy cut from the cloud paper.
Card #6:
The pieces are on the left – the star piece is a zip strip from the edge of one of the paper pack’s papers. Isn’t it funny how adding a simple outline on some of the pieces makes them stand out so much more?
