Eye Candy Glasses

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making Eye Candy Glasses!!!

I am a middle school teacher (may not have said this before), so I like to give my students something on holidays. This year I have a diabetic student (plus we’re not supposed to give candy to our students – what the heck??) so I had to come up with a non-food idea. I saw the above Eye Candy Glasses in the Cricut Design Space Make It Now projects . . . And this was exactly what I was looking for to solve my non-food gift problem!! Plus, they are just so fun!

The candy for the glasses is print and cut – easy peasy!!!

I put each sheet of candy into a plastic bag to keep them separated. So, here are the candy pieces and the glasses – luckily, I only have ten students in my homeroom. I really dislike making the same thing over and over.

Above is the pile of candy and the glasses base and below is a finished product. Aren’t they soooooo cute??

And here are ten pair of glasses. I will attach a skewer to hold the glasses up to the face with. I’ll cut the pointed end of the skewer off, of course – they are middle school students, after all. And . . . Done!! It was a really quick project that came out as well as the example.

Hey, if you’d like to see some of my other projects, check out my Instagram and Pinterest board, and I would LOVE it if you would follow me.

As always, I’m Livin’ the Moments . . .
