July 2016 Listers Gotta List Kit 14

2016-07-16 22.47.51Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

This is the July 2016 Listers Gotta List Kit 14. This is the “essentials” kit, NOT the “full kit.”

I totally messed up and bought the wrong kit, sniff sniff. Oh well, I am making the best of what I’ve got. Without the chalk edger. Without the awesome geometric washi. Without the Citrus Twist stamp pad. Without the Carpe Diem word strip sheet. Boo Hoo, without Murphy the Monkey!!!!!

Yes, the “Essentials” kit is only $29 – not UNreasonable – and the “full kit” is $48 – kinda pricey! However, I really believe you get your money’s worth with the full kit!

The “Essentials” Kit includes:
18 3×4 custom TRG journal cards, 6 3×8 custom TRG journal cards, 3 cutaway tags with July’s prompts pre-printed on them, 3 sheets of punch-out, custom TRG die cuts, and 4 custom TRG sticker quarter sheets.
2016-07-16 22.49.26I’m using my Carpe Diem inserts for my Listers Gotta List lists. Since this is a list rather than a dated calendar, I started #1 in the first section – it turned out to be a GREAT idea!

Above are the first seven prompts – aren’t the colors soooooo pretty? I added a 3×4 journal card between each spread for extra writing space and one of the 3×8 cards as a bookmark.

2016-07-16 22.50.09Aren’t the colors are SO HAPPY?!?! Lots of pink, some yellow, some turquoise, sparkles, planner girls, bubble stickers, theme-related stickers and diecuts.

2016-07-16 22.50.47I’m going to keep showing the rest of the pages so you can see how awesome TRG kits are!!!!!

2016-07-16 22.51.26I used washi from my stash that I got off of Peachy Cheap – they send daily special emails – lots of very reasonable craft supplies.

2016-07-16 22.52.07Here’s the last spread. Yes, I missed the extras, but I still think it came out great! I like to write in a pretty space & this is definitely a pretty space . . .

July Scribble Prints Co Monthly Mystery Collection

2016-07-11 19.16.44Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

I am using the July Scribble Prints Co Monthly Mystery Collection in my Social Media planner, (in my new inkWELL Press planner). The July collection is in navy, red, green and pink and is pretty classy with shoes, purses, and makeup stickers.

The kit comes monthly and includes six sheets of stickers, a small sampler sticker sheet, a sticky notepad, and a pen. This month’s pen is gold with gold sparkly gems in the bottom of the barrel – really pretty!!!

2016-07-11 19.17.18“Be Happy, Be Bright, Be You”

Here is the month-on-two-pages – I ran washi over the days before the month begins. The washi came from my stash – a multi-colored floral and a stripe, and a solid green. I also added white and gold polka-dotted washi across the top and down the right side.

I use this planner to track my social media. On these pages, I log the daily blog views, and the weekly Instagram and Pinterest followers.

2016-07-11 19.17.58The inkWELL Press planner has a Mission Board page in a hexagon configuration – this is my first month in this planner, and I didn’t use this page. However, I will definitely use it next month because this is the feature that drew me to this planner . . . “Let your light SHINE.”

2016-07-11 19.18.27Here’s the first week. I ran the white and gold polka dotted washi across the top – I like this because you can still see the date through it! I layered washi on the right side – adds lots of color and interest, right? I also ran a piece of green washi vertically separating the weekend from the rest of the week – oh, just because . . .

This is the first month that I’m tracking which blogs viewers are looking at – pretty interesting information. I can use this to analyze what people are looking at and possibly adjust my blog topics accordingly.

IMG_8985Here’s a closeup of the layered washi along the right side of the page – I LOVE the way this looks!!!!

2016-07-11 19.19.08Here’s a full week spread of all my social media info. You’re supposed to have three social media venues if you want to keep and increase interest in your blog – mine are Instagram, Pinterest, and my blog’s SEO. Still figuring out the SEO thing . . .

2016-07-11 19.19.44The rest of the week’s of the month pretty much look like this.

My rationale for decorating my planners is this: If I’m going to work, it may as well be in a pretty format. Right? Plus, it’s soooooo much fun!!

June Paper Panduh Subscription Box In Action

2016-06-30 21.41.33Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

Here’s the June Paper Panduh Subscription box in action. It has a tropical theme of pineapples, palm trees and flamingoes and incorporates pink, green and yellow.

2016-06-30 21.41.59I used heidi swapp’s color shine mist in mint green and pink and misted the planner pages. I tried this last month and loved the way it looked. It makes my planner unique – I love me some shimmer and shine, lol . . .

You can also see the washi that came in the kit – it is really, really pretty.

2016-06-30 21.42.40This is my Plum Paper Planner in my lavender Kikki K. I use this planner for blog planning – topics, scheduling, to do’s, ideas . . .

I unbound the PPP, ran washi along the edge, and hole-punched it to fit in my planner – you can do this with any bound planner.

The “1,” “2,” and “3” are diecuts from the kit. This is where I listed my three goals for the month – 1. Break last month’s blog view record; 2. Have blogs done one week ahead; 3. Relax on the weekends.

This page is also where I make a list of birthdays, anniversaries, and other card making opportunities.

2016-06-30 21.43.13Here’s the month-on-two-pages. I use this page to schedule my blogs. The sticky notes make it easy to rearrange the blogs if I change my mind.

Checkout the paperclips! I used the badges from the kit, glued them on to colored paperclips with E6000 and voila . . . homemade paperclips!

Yeah, so, there was a random 9 (it could be a 6) in the diecuts. I have no idea what it was for, so I put it on the 9th – I kind of like it a lot!!

2016-06-30 21.43.55Okay, a lot going on here . . . July doesn’t start until Friday, so the entire left page was empty. I layered some of the diecuts and stickers here.

On the right, I took one of the notepads and glued it to one of the journaling cards, hole punched the card and put it in the planner. I saw this in a video (can’t remember which one) and, really, what a great idea!!! Loose things tend to get lost . . .

2016-06-30 21.44.33Doesn’t the Color Shine mist look cool???

I took one of the diecut tags, tied some of the paper ribbon from the kit through the hole, and hole-punched the tag. This makes a great bookmark!

I used number stickers from Pretty Little Studio to label the days – the colors went perfectly with this kit.

I ran the pineapple washi along the bottom to cover up the headers. I use this space to remind myself what I need to carry over to the next day. I find that writing things down, actually helps me remember! Who knew???

2016-06-30 21.45.08I put the other sticky notepad on the back of the “tropical vibes” card – can’t get over what a good idea this is!! Again, lots of stickers . . . I am really loving the misted look on these pages.

2016-06-30 21.45.36I like lots of space to write things down. Writing around things (stickers) actually makes the page more interesting. It’s a great way to emphasize specific information I want to go back and find easily. Using different colored pens does the same thing . . .

2016-06-30 21.46.16More of the same . . . flamingoes, hibiscus flowers, palm leaves . . .

2016-06-30 21.46.56Here’s the final week. “Aloha” to July – time goes by soooooo stinkin’ fast!

2016-06-30 21.47.54Here are the stickers and diecuts I had leftover. I’ll use some of these as the month goes on – I haven’t really started the actual blogs yet. Once I do, some of the stickers will be relevant and useful. However, some of them aren’t (garbage and cleaning), and I just save use them in one of my other planners.

Hey, if you’d like to see some of my other projects, check out my Instagram and Pinterest board, and I would LOVE it if you would follow me.

June Paper Panduh Box

2016-06-22 20.37.29Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

I got my June Paper Panduh Box and it came in this awesome gold foil mailer. The personalized pineapple sticker (lovin’ the ‘j’) was on the back of the package. This is how I knew it was for me . . . Doesn’t that pineapple just look awesome on the gold foil????

2016-06-22 20.38.07Ooooooooo, #panduhbox . . . Love it!!!

2016-06-22 20.38.50Here’s the inside of the box – pink paper crinkles, green tissue paper tied with pink paper ribbon, and more lovely pink stuff.

How about the paper umbrellas on the inside of the box lid? Cool, huh?

2016-06-22 20.39.22This is the backside of a pineapple card that says “tropical vibes” on the front. This kit has a tropical theme of pineapples, palm trees and flamingoes and incorporates pink, green and yellow throughout.

Feel free to use the code to get 20% off a purchase on her website – she has some really awesome things in her shop – just sayin’.

2016-06-22 20.39.54There were two rolls of pink and gold foil washi – one with polka dots and the other with pineapples. There were two badges, one with multi-colored polka dots and the other has a cactus. There is also a package of diecuts and two sticky note pads – one with pineapples, and the other has palm leaves.

And . . . there were LOTS of stickers!! The stickers are from Paper Panduh, Nikki Plus Three, Sonia J Design, and Kapua’s Pretties – hope I didn’t miss any!
IMG_8821The green tissue wrapped package is a tropical pencil case with a turquoise hibiscus flower from SweetMahulia.

Hmm, there are an awful lot of stickers. I try to use as much of the kit as possible, and I don’t want it to look like an explosion of stickers. We’ll see . . .

July Cocoa Daisy Day Planner Kit In Action

2016-06-22 20.31.16Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

Here’s the July Cocoa Daisy Day Planner Kit in action!!! This month’s kit is all about water, koi fish, and waves. Coral is the predominant color, which happens to be one of my favorite colors!
2016-06-22 20.31.56Here are the week-on-one-page’s for the five weeks of July. I used the coral scale washi across the top of each page and between the week and weekend days. I used the yellow chevron washi along the left edge of each page as well.

The first week of July doesn’t begin until Friday so there’s a four-day blank section. I added some floral washi along the right edge, a lilypad and some koi fish here to fill in. This sets the stage for the month . . .

2016-06-22 20.32.36I use this kit in my Filofax personal pink domino which holds my general monthly planner.

Here’s the month-on-two-pages – lots of coral and oh, so, pretty . . .

I ran some blue chevron washi from my stash along the right page, and added some koi fish – don’t they look like they’re swimming in a river? My coral Gellyroll pen matches this months’ colors perfectly!

2016-06-22 20.33.24Oh man, I forgot to take a picture of the first week . . . What the heck? Sorry . . . I’m out of town for the next week . . .

So . . . moving on . . . I went through each set of week-on-two-pages added the yellow chevron washi across the top of the left page, and the bottom of the right page, cutting a banner on the inside edge. I also layered the orange fish scale washi over some turquoise chevron washi from my stash – I LOVE the way this looks.

I also took the numbered flags and put them next to each weekday – I’ve said this before, but the flags are just a little bit too wide to fit between the edge of the page and the weekday words. Why? My OCD wants those flags to fit next to the day!!!

2016-06-22 20.34.07Next, I went through and added diecuts and stickers – not a lot going on this week and the next so adding diecuts and stickers helps it not look quite so pitiful, lol. At the end of the month, though, they’re pretty much filled in.

2016-06-22 20.35.07This month’s kit came with four flag paperclips that I am using as bookmarks. These make it easy to flip through the weeks when you need to add something.

2016-06-22 20.36.17I used the black clip to clip the daily to do pages together. I don’t put them in my binder rings because there are a lot of them and they bulk up the planner too much. I add them when I need them.

So, there’s the July kit – I really like the colors and the theme, at least the water and the waves, I don’t really know that much about koi fish . . . They’re pretty, though.

Ugh, they certainly know how to write a description . . . yes, yes they do . . .

June ScribblePrintsCo Monthly Mystery Collection

2016-06-12 16.15.29

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

I’m showing you how I used the June ScribblePrintsCo Monthly Mystery Collection. I am still trying to figure out how this kit fits into my planner scheme. It is only stickers (well, it also includes a sticky note pad and pen/marker) – but no . . . surprises???? I like the surprises, they give me inspiration . . .

Minuses for me:
Andrea is a no-white-space planner. I am not – I NEED my white space.
I am at a loss as to what to do with some of the stickers – “Little Things” – Full boxes – the daily checklist full box.

Pluses for me:
Tap into my creativity – the kit has a theme and color scheme – in other words, a place to start.
Can add my own extras – I MAY have some planner supplies to supplement (sheepish look on my face).
2016-06-12 16.16.06So . . . I am trying this kit in my Travel Planner. It’s not a daily or weekly planner, but I am documenting our summer activities – it needs some prettifying, lol!!

The first thing I noticed using this approach, is how the headers take on a new meaning when you use them in a different way. “Today,” “Little Things,” “To Do” – they all mean something different when I am labeling pictures and memorabilia. The stickers were perfect for summer activities.

Hey, maybe I’m onto something here . . .

Sidebar – yes, the notepad IS upside down, duh!!!

2016-06-12 16.17.01See? The task lists can be used for making any kind of list – not necessarily to do’s. Hmm . . .

2016-06-12 16.17.43I used some of the washi from the kit along the edge of this page – it’s so colorful and complements my granddaughter’s costumes perfectly – great summer colors!!!

2016-06-12 16.18.30I cut the full box checklists apart and used them to label the pictures – and used the paw print to represent our dogs’ role in an unfortunate incident . . .

Yeah . . . I think this will work . . . What do you think?

The leftover stickers can be used in my daily planner – I just have to remember where I put them – hmm, I need to organize my stickers so I can find them when I want them . . .

May Paper Panduh Subscription Box In Action

2016-06-10 15.37.52Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

Here’s the May Paper Panduh Subscription box in action. It has a mermaid theme and is a beautiful array of purple, green, pink, and yellow!! Let’s get started!

2016-06-10 15.38.37This is the first month in my new Plum Paper Planner. I uncoiled the planner, washi’d the edges, hole-punched the pages and put them in my lilac Kikki K.

A new feature in this planner is a goals page on the back side of the month tab. This is my blog planner and I’m using this page to list my blogs for the month, my to do’s, and to list new ideas for blogs.

I use as much as I can from the kit – including the glittery shells that were sprinkled throughout the box – they’re the goal headers – nice, huh? There’s no such thing as too much glitter . . . No, really . . .

Working on my handwriting – man, I need A LOT of practice!

2016-06-10 15.39.26Here’s the month spread. This is where I map out what blogs I want to do for the month and decide when I want to post them. I always have more ideas than time and space!!

I hole-punched the note from the kit and put it in this section. Isn’t that so cute? Oh, and BRB, just in case you don’t know, means Be Right Back, LOVE IT!!!

The green fish scale washi looks really nice with the two green rolls that came in the kit.

I’m not really sure what to do with the page flags – there are A LOT of them. I used a few as decor on the pages – no room to really write on them???? They’re really cute, but what else can I use them for???? Okay, bookmarks . . . Hmmm . . .

2016-06-10 15.40.46This month’s Paper Panduh spread is starting on the 13th because I got it late – long story, check my last blog if you really want to know, lol.

I need lots of white space in this planner, so I don’t overdecorate. I put washi across the top because the numbers are orange (ewwww), and this is an excellent space for putting stickers and word strips. I used a roller stamp and stamped the dates in under the days.

I covered the bottom “Checklist” section with washi and stamped “To Do List” on each day. I use this section to list what I want to do on the next day.

The three hearts are a mini checklist for each blog – take pictures, edit pictures, and write blog.

Under that, I have another checklist for post blog, enlarge and center pictures, add links, publish date, category tags, featured image, and SEO green light. If you read my blogs, I miss one or more of these from time to time . . . Just sayin’ . . .

2016-06-10 15.42.00I write three blogs per week, so the upper left sticker is a list of this weeks’ blogs – keep me on track and on schedule.

I use this planner EVERY DAY and believe me, it gets filled up by the end of the week – I NEED the white space . . .

2016-06-10 15.42.38Here’s the final week. Pretty much the same as the last two weeks, except the end of this week has three days of July. So, I took the purple glittery piece that the pen was attached to, glued it to the page, added some washi, one of the sticky notes, and added a bow to the top corner.

The bow was made from the purple mesh that tied the tissue paper around the kit, and is tied with the lavender raffia. Someone on Instagram tied the mesh to paperclips – aaaaaaggggghhhh, great idea!! I have some left and am definitely making some as well.

There you have it, a summery, mermaidy, planner. It makes planning so much more fun!!!

May Paper Panduh Subscription Box

2016-06-03 13.59.33Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

Ugh, can you believe it? I was out of town when my May Paper Panduh Subscription Box arrived. I was following the sneak peaks on Instagram and could not wait to see the mermaids!!! I tried not to look at other people’s kits as they opened them – one of the reasons I get this kit is the anticipation of what’s inside . . .

2016-06-03 14.00.11So, here is my first view of the inside of the box. I must say, the sneak peaks did not disappoint! The lid of the box shows a mermaid swimming (cavorting?) in the sea.

And then . . . purple mesh is tied around turquoise tissue paper – such a beautiful color combination – and glittery seashell pieces are scattered around on top.

2016-06-03 14.00.39The tissue paper is held together with a shell sticker that has my initial “j” on it. Every kit so far is personalized in some way – this is such a lovely touch and something I look forward to discovering . . .

2016-06-03 14.01.23And . . . this is what is inside the tissue paper . . . green, purple, yellow . . . sooooo pretty!!!

2016-06-03 14.03.15Here’s the note from Emma – it is so cute – “creativity washi you away” – “seashell kisses” – ADORABLE!

Glittery shells were sprinkled throughout the box – and check out that awesome mermaid paperclip from HoweCute4You – Oh.My.Goodness.

2016-06-03 14.01.57There is a muslin tote in this kit with turquoise seashells stamped on the front! It’s pretty AND useful – you can never have too many totes!!!!

“Stuff your shell tote with all of your planning essentials and head to the beach for some summer planning sessions!”

2016-06-03 14.02.44There are four rolls of washi included – it’s more of a paper consistency than tape – I LOVE the way it tears. There are two rolls of green in different shades, one roll of purple, and one is green fish scales – yes – green fish scales – aaaaaagggggghhhhh!! The solid green rolls match the fish scales perfectly – they’re gonna go sooooo good together!

2016-06-03 14.03.50There’s a set of page flags from Girl of All Work – you can use these as page tabs, dividers, for writing notes, or decoration – I’m sure there are plenty of other uses as well.

There is also a pastel yellow mini pen included – it doesn’t really write very smoothly – I am a fan of gel pens myself, but it sure is cute!!

2016-06-03 14.04.23There are also four sheets of stickers included. One sheet from Paper Panduh, two sheets are from MyNewestAddiction, and the small sampler sheet is from LetsPlanIt. They all coordinate and follow Panduh’s sea and mermaid theme with turquoise, purple and pink throughout.

I waited over a week to see this lovely kit and I can’t wait to start putting everything together in my planner . . .

Hey, if you’d like to see some of my other projects, check out my Instagram and Pinterest board, and I would LOVE it if you would follow me.

Listers Gotta List Kit #13 “Scenic Route” In Action

2016-06-02 08.05.50Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

Here’s The Reset Girl’s Listers Gotta List Kit #13 “Scenic Route” in action.

I think this is my favorite planner spread ever!!! I am using my Close To My Heart Everyday Life binder and the My Crush Everyday Life Pages. It has a horizontal orientation with four days on the left page and three days on the right.
2016-06-03 13.55.37So . . . above is the first weeks’ spread. I put two journal cards at the top of the left page to cover the last two days of May. This is a great space for writing goals, gratitude entries, quotes, etc.

The first thing I do is put my washi on the page – it’s hard to put it on after other things, then you have to lift things – let’s just say, it’s easier to do it first.

I ran some of the yellow washi from the kit across the top, then I ran some wide washi I got from Peachy Cheap under Sunday, and then I ran multi-color striped washi (from my stash) vertically along the date boxes and horizontally under the wide washi on the right. THEN I ran some skinny green washi (also from my stash) between the striped washi on the bottom right. Doesn’t it look like a road???? Aaaaaahhhhh! That came out better than expected . . .

I love washi . . .

2016-06-03 13.56.10I watched an Anna Brim video where she spritzed over her planner pages and it looked awesome! So I used some Heidi Swapp Peach and Heidi Swapp Mustard Color Shine and misted the pages (should’ve done this before the washi, but it still came out pretty darned good), and wow! Just wow! I’m gonna do this again!

The pen is a LePen I got from Ashley Shelly and I love the way it writes – kind of like a marker and it didn’t bleed through.

I put all the Listers Gotta List prompts on – covered the days that were there – something you can do on outdated planner pages – just sayin’ – never throw them away!

I put the date bubbles under the prompts and used a dated roller stamp – I love the way dates look stamped like this – kinda vintage, right?

2016-06-03 13.56.47I like using journal cards as extra writing space – on the top right, I trimmed one down and hinged it with washi. This particular list prompt requires (not really, you can do as many as you want) 10 items, so the card gives extra space without cramming/condensing your list.

After I’m done with the essentials – washi, prompts, dates, journal cards – then I add sentence strips wherever I feel like it’s appropriate (or wherever I want). I like to layer them over other stickers, too.

2016-06-03 13.57.30I try to use every part of a kit. In this kit, the “Scenic Route” (with the cactus and camper) was at the top of the list prompts, & “it’s never too late to reset your life” was at the top of the sticker sheets. I cut them out and used them as headers on the week spread pages.
I spread the ephemera and stickers throughout the pages – I try to use all of them – sometimes there are just too many – I don’t want to fill up too much of my writing space . . . but I try . . .

2016-06-03 13.58.14Here is the last page for June. I use the long journal cards as bookmarks. I make sure they stick up about 1/2” above the planner pages and punched holes in them. They mark each weeks’ pages and I use them to make lists for . . . whatever!!!
