Little Peanut Party Decorations

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making Little Peanut Party Decorations for my granddaughters 1st birthday party.

In the Cricut Design Space screen shot from the top left, I’m making cupcake picks, treat bag toppers, elephant and peanut signs, cupcake wrappers, a ‘Little Peanut’ sign, and a flag banner.

I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Black, Whisper, Pixie, Bashful, Cotton Candy and Raspberry.
This is the flag banner. The flags are from the Cricut Decorative Banner cartridge, and the font is Waltograph from dafont.com.
This sign is from the Mini Moments cartridge.
I uploaded this peanut from Google Images. I first uploaded the background Pixie image – which was just an outline of the image – and then I uploaded the Whisper layer where I erased the open sections.
The elephant is from the Cricut Creative Memories – Stork Delivery cartridge.
The cupcake wrappers are from the Cricut Anna’s Bridal and Baby Soirees cartridge.
These are the cupcake picks. Ugh, all I had were wooden skewers that I use for grilling kabobs.

Yeah, so, they’re a little big, lol . . .
These are hanging decorations – how cute is this???? The bows and elephant spin when they’re hung up.
Now, These . . . These . . . Just came out awesome!!! The topper is from the Anna’s Ribbons and Bows cartridge. I got the candy from amazon – they’re Bright Pink Shimmer Sixlets.
Here’s the sign and the banner – how sweet is this? And she’s such a sweet punkin’ that she definitely deserves this!!!!!
Finally, here are the treat bags and cupcakes. They came out so darned cute and perfect for a one-year-old’s birthday party, don’tcha think?

Double Dog Birthday Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making a Double Dog Birthday Card for my son’s 27th birthday.

My son has two dogs that he is trying to train and I thought this would be a great card for him. Above is the design in Cricut Design Space. I actually came up with this design myself – I wanted a dog training theme and couldn’t find any examples on Pinterest – so this is what I came up with.
Here are the cut pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Sapphire and Tangerine for the balloons, Black, White Daisy, Charcoal, Almond and the background is from the Basic Fundamentals paper pack.

The Bulldog and Boston Terrier images are from the Pet Shop cartridge, the balloons are from Stretch Your Imagination and Close To My Heart You are Here. The font on the front layer is Cricut Sans, and the font on the inside is Anna’s Soiree Lettering – Grace Script.
Not a fan of piecing images together, BUT these were pretty easy.

TIP: when I’m cutting the pieces out, I immediately put them in a container, because I have lost tiny pieces before and had to recut. I reallllllly don’t like recutting . . . Just sayin’
Y’know I had to sparkle it up a little . . . I added CTMH Clear Glimmer to the dogs and the balloons. I also added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the reflection spaces on the balloons.
Here’s the finished card. Aren’t those puppies adorable? His dogs are Bubbles – a Boston Terrier/Dachsund mix (an unusual looking dog to say the least), and Brutus – an American Bully. They are so darned happy, cute, and energetic – oh, and the small one is definitely the boss, lol.

Anna’s Window Frame Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making an Anna’s Window Frame Card for my granddaughter’s first birthday.

Above is the card screen shot of Cricut Design Space. My daughter calls her “Little Peanut,” so of course, she’s getting a Little Peanut birthday card.
These are the images included in the Anna’s Window Frame Cards cartridge. This is an easel card, so you get an easel card base, an envelope, 4 frames, several sentiments and Anna’s signature flowers. Some of the images, such as some of the layered sentiments and the flowers, are for print and cut.
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Pixie, Bashful, Raspberry, and Whisper. The elephant is from the Cricut Creative Memories – Stork Delivery cartridge. The rest are from the Anna’s Window Frame Cards cartridge.

The font is also Anna Griffin – “Soiree Lettering – Grace” – my favorite.

Anna’s designs use a lot of layering and flowers – I chose to minimize the layers and added an elephant rather than the flowers.
The first thing I did was assemble the elephant – which was literally gluing the layers together.
Next, I assembled the frame. I created another layer – the gray Whisper piece – so there would not be open space behind the frame.
Here are the Pixie and Whisper layers.
And then the Bashful layer was added on top – which it really didn’t need, but made all the difference, imo.
This is the easel card base. There are 2 vertical cuts on either side and several score lines (you can’t really see them . . . but read on . . .).
The card base is folded along the score lines and creates an easel – this was actually self-evident once I started folding.
Here, the sentiment layer is attached to the card base. On the left is a front view and on the right is a side view. See what I mean? Self-evident . . .
I added the frame on the left and then the elephant on the right – just a splash of bright raspberry.
The envelope is also pretty awesome. One of the things I love about Anna Griffin is how she goes over the top in her designs – envelopes are not left out . . .
The flap is glued to the straight side of the Pixie piece, and the sides and bottom are glued together, forming the envelope.
This is the finished card – it came out so cute. If you look at Anna Griffin cards, they are layers on top of layers on top of layers . . . I just use the parts I want, and they still come out great!!!

Cricut Dreaming Tree Pink Floral Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making a Cricut Dreaming Tree Pink Floral Card for my son and daughter-in-law’s 2nd wedding anniversary.

Above is the card in Cricut Design Space. This is a Cricut Card Project that I can customize or make it as it was designed. I chose to customize it with a written sentiment for the inside.
Above is the description for the card. It costs $3.99 if you don’t already own the images – either through purchase or part of the Access subscription.
This card was designed by Dreaming Tree and has an assembly video available to help put it together.
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Bashful, Raspberry, Topiary, Sweet Leaf and White Daisy. The font is Anna Griffin’s Soiree Lettering – Grace Script (one of my go-to fonts).
Above are the layers added on top of each other – aren’t they beautiful? They fit perfectly together.
I used Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Jewels on the corners – when the glue dried, they looked like flowers with pink centers – AWESOME!!!!
The above pic shows all the layers on top of each other. Not really liking that you can see the sentiment on the inside of the card . . .
This card came with a matching envelope. Above are the envelope pieces.
First, I glued the liner under the cutout on the flap, then I glued the flap to the envelope, and finally, folded the flaps in and glued them together, creating an envelope.
Here’s the finished card. Even though you can see the inside sentiment (I already expressed my opinion on That), it’s still a beautiful card . . .

SVGCuts Ice Cream Cone Box Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making an SVGCuts Ice Cream Cone Box Card from their Boardwalk Box Cards SVG Kit for my brother’s birthday.

Above is a screenshot of the uploaded files in Cricut Design Space. This is where I attach the scorelines and drawn numbers – if you don’t attach them, they will be on separate mats when you go to make them. Almost all of the SVGCuts projects have videos where Mary goes step-by-step through the entire process of assembly – she makes it sooooo easy to create their awesome paper craft projects.
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Pixie, White Daisy and Champagne – notice the numbers – they are they layers and help keep them straight.
I used the Wire Fence Darice embossing folder to emboss the cone panels.
I inked the edges of the White Daisy pieces with CTMH Pixie ink.
The sentiment is from Bruce Monroe’s Sentimentals stamp set.
The panels are glued to the cone pieces.
Assembly begins with the base as seen above – the top piece is added last.

With the purchase of the kit, I got a pdf file that shows how to arrange the layers.
First, I sorted the pieces.
Then I glued them all together to look like the images in the pdf.
This is Insert 3 glued to the base (the first section I glued together).
Insert 2 was added above.
Then Insert 1 – it’s starting to look like an ice cream cone . . .
Finally, the front piece it glued on to create the finished ice cream one.
Here are various views of the card. On the left is the back, a side view is in the center showing how the inserts are spaced, and finally, on the right, is a top view.
Here’s the finished card. Seriously, it looks like an ice cream cone . . .
The best feature of box cards is how they fold flat AND FIT INTO AN ENVELOPE SO YOU CAN MAIL THEM!!! When the recipient opens the card, it becomes a 3D work of art. These are definitely my favorite kind of cards to make!!!!!

Super Hero Cards

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making Super Hero Cards for my son’s girlfriend’s students. She just got her first full-time job (with benefits) teaching Kindergarten. WooHoo!!!

Above is a screenshot of Cricut Design Space where I inserted and sized an image I am using for the cards. CDS makes creating cards and adding elements sooooo easy!
I’m making birthday cards for her students and her classroom theme is super heroes. Well, I just happened to already have the stamp and die sets for the above boy and girl super heroes.

I found these cards on Pinterest – as already stated, I have the stamp and die set, AND I own the city skyline on CDS.

PERFECT!!!!! I can do this . . .
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart White Daisy, Lemon, Whisper and Black cardstock. The ink is CTMH Archival Black and the stars are stamped with Lemon ink. I am making 20 Super Girl cards and 20 Super Boy cards – I gotta get going . . .

The skyline is from the Cricut ‘CTMH – You Are Here’ cartridge. I resized the width so it would fit on my top White Daisy layer.
These are the stamp sets I used. The Super Boy and Girl sets are from CTMH and include the dies. The sentiment “Happy Birthday” is from the Brutus Monroe Super Sentimental stamp set.
Above is the top White Daisy layer with the stamped stars and has the layered skyline attached.
Here the top layer is attached to the CTMH Lemon layer creating a frame.
Then they are attached to the card base.
I watercolored the boy and girl pieces with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in Broken China, Candied Apple, Ground Espresso, and Mustard Seed. There is a lot of coloring – I thought watercoloring would be easier and faster than using markers. We’ll see . . .
Now for assembly . . . 40 cards . . .
Above are two of the completed cards – one of the boy cards and one of the girl cards.
I added an envelope to each card, put them in clear bags to keep them from getting wrinkled or otherwise damaged, and put them in a photo box from Hobby Lobby.

It took me two days, working off and on, to make 40 cards – designing, cutting out skylines, cutting the layers, stamping the stars, stamping the super heroes and sentiments, die cutting the super heroes, watercoloring, assembling the skylines, assembling the sentiments, assembling the layers, and adding the superheroes and sentiments. Phew! Done!!!!

August 2018 Mandy’s Flowers Card Kit

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I got the August 2018 Mandy’s Flowers Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp!

The kit is inside this brown paper bag with the adorable boston terrier sticker attached to it.
Each monthly box comes with a list of what is included in the kit as well as several photos of completed cards using the contents.
From the left is a sheet of Doodlebug “Tiny Hearts” Sprinkles enamel hearts, 1 yard of May Arts natural twine string burlap, and a small bottle of Nuvo “Bubblegum Blush” Crystal Drops.
The Simon Says Stamp 6×6 “Modern Flowers” cling stamp is on the left, and on the right is the Simon Says Stamp “Mandy’s Flowers” 6×8 clear stamp set.
Above are twelve single-sided BoBunny “Early Bird” 6×6 papers – how pretty are these???
From the left is a sheet of 120# white and Cotton Candy cardstock, as well as a 5 3/4 x 8 sheet of Tonic “Powder Blue Lace” Luxury Embossed paper.
I stamped the Thank You on the first card with Close To My Heart Sapphire ink. I used the 6×6 stamp and stamped in five different colors on five pieces of CTMH White Daisy cardstock, cut it into strips and dovetailed the bottom edges. I finished the card with CTMH blue burlap ribbon.
This background was also stamped with the 6×6 cling stamp, and the blue and pink layers are from the the kit. I stamped the flower pot on CTMH White Daisy cardstock, and watercolored it with Tim Holtz markers. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark embossing ink and embossed with Brutus Monroe Raven embossing powder.
The card base on this card was speckled with various TH inks, I cut strips from papers in the kit, stamped the circle and added the sentiment to its center. Then I watercolored the flowers and leaves with TH ink.
I used the Wonky Rectangle Dies to die cut the card layer, sprinkled TH inks on the surface, fussy cut the sentiment, vase and flowers, and fence. I watercolored the flowers, leaves, and fence with TH ink. The final touch is on the jar – I spread Ranger Glossy Accents on it to make it look like glass.
Here’s a shot of all four cards I created from the kit – I love using flowers in my card making – they’re so versatile – they can be any color you want that goes with the rest of the card.

Fishing You a Happy Birthday Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making a Fishing You a Happy Birthday Card for my brother.

Most of the supplies for the card came from the Simon Says Stamp July 2018 Card Kit – the above pic is from their website.
I blended Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink – salty ocean, peacock feathers, cracked pistachio – on to a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Close To My Heart White Daisy cardstock. I also spritzed water across it to create a really cool splotchy effect – one of my favorite features of the TH Distress Oxide ink is how it responds to water.
The fish were stamped on White Daisy cardstock as well and “watercolored” with Tim Holtz markers in cracked pistachio, twisted citron, and ripe persimmon.
The sentiment was also stamped onto White Daisy cardstock and mounted on to a piece of Smoothie cardstock, leaving 1/16” around the outside edges.
Here are the pieces for the card – White Daisy card base, the TH blended background, three fish, and the sentiment.
The blended background was attached to the card base and the sentiment was popped up on the upper left corner of the top card layer.
Bubbles were stamped above where the fish will be.
The fish were popped up with foam tape and adhered below each set of bubbles.
I used the CTMH Glimmer Brush on the fish to make them subtley sparkle and put drops of Ranger Glossy Accents on the air bubbles.
Here’s the finished card – I’m thinking I should’ve used some darker blues on the background. Hmmmm . . . Otherwise, I love how it came out – Tim Holtz products make it so easy to watercolor and create fun backgrounds.

Let’s Go Fishing Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making a Let’s Go Fishing Card for my husband for our anniversary.

Above is a picture of the finished card. Read on to see how I created it . . .
This is the inspiration for the card. I get a lot of my inspiration from Pinterest – isn’t it funny how different my finished projects usually look from their inspiration?
I ran a 3 1/2” x 5” piece of Close To My Heart Lagoon cardstock through my eBosser using the Cricut D’Vine Swirl embossing folder to make it look like water.
I used the Tim Holtz Spills & Splatters stamp to create water splashes on a 2 1/2” x 2 3/4” piece of CTMH Basic Fundamentals cardstock with Toffee ink.
I wanted to create my own text, so I used the CTMH Curlicue Alphabet stamp set to say “You had me” on a strip of CTMH White Daisy cardstock, also with Toffee ink.
The lure and hook, as well as “Hook Line Sinker” was stamped using the CTMH Let’s Go Fishing stamp set and Toffee ink. The fish was stamped using layered stamps and Lagoon and Toffee inks.
The picture above shows the placement of the pieces.
Here I added the Hook Line Sinker strip to the bottom of the front, leaving a space, creating a division between the design elements and the sentiment.
I popped up the “You had me” with foam tape.
The fish is also popped up, adding dimension to the card.
Megan Elizabeth Chillax baubles – I don’t think she sells these anymore – were glued to the front to create “bubbles”. Yeah, the glue isn’t dry yet . . . I get excited to take my pics, lol . . .
Finally, I added a little glitter with the CTMH glimmer brush.
Here’s the finished card again. I used the WRMK 123 Punch Board to create the matching envelope.

Anna Griffin Well Wishes Shaker Die Set

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making cards with the Anna Griffin Well Wishes Shaker Die Set.

Above are the 23 dies included in the set I purchased from hsn.com on May 2, 2018. I also purchased the Anna Griffin Shaker Card Supplies Kit that includes 30 4.5” x 6” heat sealed pouches, 30 4.5” x 6” acetate windows with foam adhesive, and 30 4.5” x 6” acetate layers.
Here are the cutout pieces for a cupcake shaker card. I used some leftover Close To My Heart cardstock from my stash, White Daisy, Sea Glass glitter cardstock, and silver foil cardstock.
The acetate windows with foam adhesive have adhesive on both the front as well as the back – in the above pic, the window is attached to the card base, where I sprinkled various sequins, seed beads and glitter from my stash. The acetate layer goes on top of this window to seal the shaker items inside.
Next, I placed the cupcake layer, that was diecut with the cupcake die, over the acetate layer and added the outline over the opening, creating the cupcake. How simple is that?????
Then I attached the balloon and gift box – I went around the inside of the gift box die with my Cricut scoring tool to make a deeper impression.
Here are one of each of the finished card designs. The teacup card was embellished with stamped, watercolored and fussy cut flowers, as well as a teabag die cut stamped with an “xo.”

The baby onesie card also has a die cut “Congratulations” sentiment banner, and this cupcake card has a “Happy Birthday” stamped sentiment added to the front.

Didn’t they come out great???? I love making shaker cards and Anna Griffin’s die cuts and shaker supplies makes it soooooo easy.
