We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m demonstrating the We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board.

I have a new granddaughter and wanted to make a banner for when she came home, so I got the WRMK Banner Punch Board – their punch boards are so, so easy to use!!

Above is a shot of the punch board – it has a cutter (in the very center), a hole punch (at the very top), a hinged clear plastic track with magnets to hold the paper in place, a grid for paper placement, and brief step-by-step instructions.
The above sheet comes in the packaging. On the left is a cm chart and on the right are detailed instructions that include graphics.
There is also an “additional product information” sheet that says to cut the paper to the width and height you want before cutting the shape out.
I cut my paper to 6” wide by 8” high, raised the track, centered it on the board, and lowered the track.

You can make banners from 1” to 6” wide and 1” to 8 1/2” high.
Starting on the right side, I fit the cutter into the track on the right side and pulled it diagonally toward the center.

Then I fit the cutter into the the track on the left side and pulled it diagonally toward the center.
The top pic shows the cut, and the bottom pic shows the extra paper removed, and the dovetail edge.
Finally, I put the top corners of the banner piece under the hole punch and punched the holes for the string.

This whole process probably took less than a minute for each banner piece.
Here’s the completed banner – this was soooooo easy!!

CrossFit Birthday Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making a CrossFit Birthday Card for my son’s 26th birthday.

Above is a screen shot of Cricut Design Space where I designed the card. This is where I can play around with the placement of the pieces and customize the inside sentiment.
I used 2 cards for my inspiration this time. The above card has the equipment a CrossFit athlete uses, but I didn’t like the sentiment on the front. Sooo . . . .
I found this card . . .

I realllllly wanted to put a zombie on the front, and if I would’ve had more time, I would’ve figured out how to do it. But, I didn’t . . .

However, I did use the “Happy Bar-Day” from the front, ‘cause it was just a fun way to say it . . .
Here are the pieces for the card. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Black, White Daisy, Slate and Ruby.

The font for the top layer is “Cricut Sans,” and the font for the inside is “All Mixed Up.”
Yeah, so I have the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink that I’ve been dying to play with. I used black soot and frayed burlap for my card.

The process goes something like this: spread ink on the mat, smear some on the cardstock (watercolor paper would probably work better because it doesn’t pill if you overdo it, just sayin’), mist with water, and dry with a heat gun.

It came out great, but not what I was planning, I wanted a splattered, water splotched look . . . gonna have to practice . . .
A problem with cutting words out is that they’re missing the little pieces – I used transfer tape so I wouldn’t lose any (this may have happened before and then I had to recut . . . booooo), and glued them back into place.
On the left is the finished top layer – I took the cutout 26 from the kettelbell and glued it on the inside – talk about using every piece . . .
Here’s the finished card – with a few exceptions (which I have already pointed out) I am very happy with how it came out

Planner Society Blue Floral Travelers Notebook

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I got my first Planner Society Blue Floral Travelers Notebook and Kit.

The scarlet lime Planner Society kits are my favorite because I LOVE vintage florals, which they always have plenty of . . .
Above is a view inside the box – see what I mean???? The paper bag has a beautiful blue floral design and can be used for dashboards, shakers, and pocket folders.

The muslin bag has a Planner Society girl stamped on it – really, how awesome is that????????
The Travelers Notebook is inside the muslin bag.
Ooooooo, here it is. Eeeeek, I. Love. It. The blue background . . . The handpainted design . . .
This is the inside – it has a pocket on either side and 4 gray elastic strings (plus an extra string).
The TN came with 3 inserts. The first one is for making weekly lists. I love how they’re separated into categories – must do, to do, personal, can’t forget, notes, and this week.
The 2nd insert says “be fabulous” at the top of each page and has a Planner Society girl stamped in the corner.
The 3rd insert has grids and says “hello beautiful” at the top of each page.
I love the shape of this TN – it has a really wide spine. It easily holds 4 inserts.
How pretty is this view???
I also got the coordinating TN Kit in this paper bag – don’t you just love the doily in the corner??? I mean, really . . .
This is a plastic bottle full of sequins – small and large round sequins, stars, flowers, and butterflies – they look awesome in shakers . . .
There are two coordinating bow clips.
And a fabric bow that clips on the outside rubber band.
The kit included 3 more inserts. The outsides are just as beautiful as the inside . . . This one has 4 boxes on each page with a heart & flourish at the top and a heart border on the bottom.
The 2nd insert has a dot grid and “Notes” with a heart flourish at the top of each page.
The 3rd insert is for “My Lists” and has heart checklist format along the side.
There are 3 mini sheets of washi in kit coordinating designs.
Above is a pocket and 3 journal/decorative cards, and a set of coordinating die cuts.
A full sheet of planner stickers . . . headers, days of the week, icons, flags, bows, deco.
Washi, quarter and half boxes.
Full boxes.
Finally, there are 2 sheets of vellum (stars and floral) and 1 sheet of acetate (butterflies).

Time to get this baby set up . . .

Here’s the bow clipped to the outside elastic.
I made a pocket folder out of the planner kit bag – the doily made a perfect pocket!!
And, I made a shaker out of one of the cards and some of the sequins – not functional at all, but oh so pretty . . .

We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m demonstrating the We R Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board.

Above is a pic of the punch board. On the left side if the punch and the corner alignment bars. The top right has the movable cut alignment bar and the cutting track, and the round piece in the center is the cutter.
These instructions came with the Punch Board – step-by-step for the frame as well as tips & tricks for larger frames, rounding corners, storage, notches, and combination sizes.
I want to make frames like these heidi swapp ones, but in my choice of color and size.

I don’t care about the corner angle cuts . . .
I cut the paper to 2.125” x 3.5”.
My frame is not square, so I will use a combination of alignment bar positions.
In the left pic, the alignment bars are in the .75” position on the top and the .25” position on the right, punch.

I turned the paper over and punched in the same position in the center pic.

In the right pic, the top alignment bar is moved to the .25” position and the right alignment bar stays in the .25” position, punch, turn the paper over and punch again.
Here is my paper with the four inside frame corners punched.
Next, is to cut the inside. The top and side frame widths are .25”, so I moved the cut alignment bar to .25” and slid the cutter along the track on the three sides.

The bottom frame width is .75”, so I moved the cut alignment bar to .75” and slid the cutter along the track.
Here is my frame – this was so, So, SO easy!!!
Above is a comparison between what I cut using the Frame Punch Board and the heidi swapp frame. I like the inside rounded corners better on mine – I can also round the outside corners if I want to.

Turquoise Anniversary Shaker Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I am making a Turquoise Anniversary Shaker Card for my son and daughter-in-law’s first anniversary.

Above is a screen shot of the card design in Cricut Design Space – this is where all the magic happens – the card layout, the color choices, and the sentiment are laid out and can easily be changed.
This is the inspiration for the card – I found it on Pinterest, how pretty is this????
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Sea Glass, Lagoon, and White Daisy.

The “Happy Birthday” font on the front is Lucida Sans and the inside sentiment font is Soiree Lettering – Grace Script.

The hearts are free shapes in the DS program.
The Lagoon cardstock layer was run through my eBosser, using the cuttlebug “Swiss Dots” embossing folder, and then it was attached it to the card base.

Oh man . . . I forgot to add the ribbon . . . it should’ve been wrapped around the blue layer BEFORE attaching it to the card base . . . Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!!!
In the left photo, I glued a piece of acetate to the back side of the card base heart opening.

Then I added foam tape, in the right pic, around the outside edges of the heart (to contain the shaker contents), and also the rest of the back so it will lay flat.
The confetti was cut out of CTMH Lagoon cardstock using the We R Memory Keepers Confetti cutting die – you could cut these shapes out of any kind of paper, making your own confetti – glitter paper, foil, acetate, Tim Holtz ink splattered paper, your own design, wrapping paper that matches a gift, etc.
Besides the confetti, I also added Recollections silver iridescent chunky glitter and blue Wow! glitter.
After removing the paper from the foam tape, I attached the Sea Glass layer, enclosing the back of the shaker. The right pic shows what it looks like assembled.
The hearts got a little Wink of Stella to make them shimmer and then a dot of nuvo Crystal Drops in Blue Lagoon on one heart.
And, here’s the finished card – didn’t it come out great?????

ChicSparrow Outlander Deluxe Time Traveler

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I ordered a ChicSparrow Outlander Deluxe Time Traveler, and it is finally here (it only took about a week, but still . . . )!!!

It came in this mailer and has their stamp up in the corner – see the feather in their name? Aaaaaaagggggghhhhhh! Open, Open, Open . . .
This is what was inside the mailer – Item Description, their business card, a leather sample, 3 die cut stickers, checklist for mine, a dustcover, and the notebook.
My book is wrapped in this realllllllly soft, and I mean realllllllly soft, dustcover.
And, here she is . . . in a beautiful midnight blue . . . I think I’ll just admire it for a minute . . .

Oooooooo, the smell of the leather . . . It’s just too much . . .
It’s stitched with white thread and engraved using the Goudy cursive font – now it’s mine forever . . .
Here is a description of the Outlander from their website:
▪ Drum-dyed for rich tones
▪ Beautiful supple full grain, oil-tanned leather
▪ Four strands of elastic on all sizes, except plus sizes which have six strands, for securing inserts
▪ Center spine closure
▪ Features range marks adding to this beautiful rustic notebook
▪ Lightweight
▪ Wonderfully floppy
▪ Designer pockets
There are several sizes to choose from (Nano, Passport, Passport Plus, Pocket, Pocket Plus, A6, Personal, B6 Slim, B6, Narrow, Wide, A5, and Composition).

I got Narrow, and above is a screenshot of the information available about this size on their website – they tell you what size inserts will fit, show you the outside (notice the grid in the background for the size), and the two versions available for the inside.
Here is the inside with an insert. I love all the pockets, 3 small and 2 full size and there’s also a penholder in this particular notebook.

It is unbelievably soft, and the more you use it the softer and more supple it gets.

ChicSparrow is a company that will help you customize your notebook, all you have to do is ask them and they will make it for you.

They also have other leather products – bags (canvas and leather), key fobs, die cut stickers, cup holders, stickers, and so much more – check out their website.

We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch Board

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m demonstrating the We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch Board.

Above is a pic of the Planner Punch Board – the set comes with five hole punches that connect together, which is great for storage.
This is a view of the bottom side of the punches.
Inside the punch board is an opening that has teeth at the back that the punches fit into, and numbers on the front for punch and paper alignment.
The underneath side of the board has a label that includes the directions, paper size and the alignment settings for the punches.
I’m punching holes for a Carpe Diem A5. Per the chart on the bottom of the Punch Board, my punches are at the 11, 21 and 31 positions – line the arrows up with the numbers.
In the left photo, I lined my paper up with the notch on the left side and punched the three holes (these will be at the bottom of the page).
Then, I flipped the paper paper over (this will be the top of my page) and punched the 3 holes.
Here is the dashboard in my Carpe Diem.
There is also a set of 3 punches available for planners and notebooks that have a coil. Two of them have rounded holes and one of them has a square hole.
I labeled the punches with how many holes per inch they each will punch, as well as which planners they will work for. I don’t have any planners that use the 3 holes per inch punch. . .
For these punches, the punch is placed at the center of the Punch Board.
The holes will be punched the entire length of the paper, so it is lined up at the Center line and punched – left and center pics.

Then I lined the punched holes up with the picture on the punch (right picture) and continued all along the entire length of the paper.
This is what it looks like when it’s finished.

The coiled planner punches is why I bought the Planner Punch Board – now I can add bookmarks, dashboards and journal cards directly into my planner.

Yeah, now THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about!!!

CTMH Popcorn Party Birthday Card

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making a CTMH Popcorn Party Birthday Card for my brother’s birthday.

Above is a pic of the Close To My Heart Basics Fundamental Paper Pack – they’re in shades of navy, gray, and brown – perfect for masculine cards.
This is the inspiration for the card. I went on Pinterest and searched “popcorn birthday cards” because my brother LOVES popcorn.
Here are the cutout pieces. I used CTMH cardstock from their Basics Fundamental Paper Pack, as well as CTMH Linen (a new color this year).
I used the banner and “Birthday Wishes” stamps from the ‘Little Dreamer’ stamp set, and the popcorn and pretzel are from the ‘Carnival Fun’ stamp set.
The edges were inked with CTMH Whisper ink.
I used my mini MISTI to stamp the designs – this tool has made all the difference in the quality of my stamped images.

I can stamp over and over again in the same spot to get an even layer of ink on the images.

It was a game changer for me.
The popcorn box was stamped with CTMH Ruby, the popcorn and pretzel were stamped with CTMH Honey, and the banner was stamped with CTMH Whisper.
The card base is CTMH Whisper cardstock. I added a layer of paper from the Basics Fundamental Paper Pack (and inked the edges), and then another layer of navy (hmm, it looks black in this photo) and white polka dots.

The banners are also from the Basics Fundamental Paper Pack – which are overlapped on the right side. Finally, I added the banner across the middle.
The sentiment is stamped from the ‘Happy, Happy Birthday’ set.
I popped up the popcorn box and pretzel and added some yellow enamel dots from my stash. A simple design that came out awesome!!!

August 2017 Paper Panduh Adventure Awaits Kit

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! It’s the August 2017 Paper Panduh “Adventure Awaits” Kit.

This is a monthly planner kit that includes items that follow a theme (this month is adventure) – let’s see what the Panduh’s sent . . .
Here is a view inside the box. There’s a large sticker inside the lid and two layers of tissue – yellow and blue – and some awesome-looking things on top of the blue tissue paper.
Above are a dark gray pen – it has a fine felt tip – and two notecards. One card has flowers on a navy background and the other has a pink and brown plaid design. They are tied together with a piece of twine.
This is a notepad with a little golfer-type pencil in a matchbox style cover.
On the left is the blue tissue and on the right is what’s underneath.
How pretty is this flower pin?
“always take the scenic route” is written on one side of this card with a blue tree design.

On the other side of the card is a note from the Panduh’s – oooo, next month’s box theme is Paper Panduh Favorites. I. Can’t. Wait.

They are extending an invitation to their Facebook page and explaining their Photo Contest.
There are two sheets of stickers from lmaeplans – quarter, half, and full boxes, flags, deco, icons, headers, and checklists.
In the Carpe Diem package are 4 sheets of number stickers – I’m always looking for number stickers!!!! Believe it or not, they’re pretty difficult to find . . .
Here are 2 sheets of stickers from the creekside collection at oneCanoetwo. These stickers are thick cardstock – a lot like Thickers.
This is a sticker pad from Paper House and is full of travel stickers.
Here is a pic of the entire August 2017 Paper Panduh Kit.
This is the month-on-two-pages spread in my Social Media planner. The washi is from my stash – the green lace washi matched the green in the stickers perfectly!
The 1st day of the month isn’t until Friday, so I had extra space to fill. I covered the pages with dark blue paper, attached the sticker from the box and the card from the Kit on the left.

On the right, I put a full box at the bottom and an airplane sticker above it. Then I drew an airplane path and some clouds with a white marker. Yeah, this was fun, lol.
Finally, I made a planner charm from the twine and pin. All I did was tie the twine on the coil and knot the ends, and then pinned the pin on (I added some E6000 to keep the pin from coming undone.

We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m demonstrating the We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch Board.

Above is a pic of the package – I got it at Hobby Lobby for $15 (It was regularly priced at $24.99 – I used a 40% off coupon). I am going to use this to make bookmarks and tabbed dashboards for my planners and travelers notebooks.
Here is a shot of the back of the package. You can make small, medium and large tabs on paper that is from 4” wide to 12” wide. It shows some examples of what you can use the punch board for – examples include dividers and scrapbook designs.
This Tab Punch Board comes with a separate instruction sheet (usually the instructions are on the actual board???). Lots of pics and colored images for this visual person . . .
The clear blue rectangle on the left is the Tab Alignment Bar (it fits in the holes at the bottom of the board below the Punch), the blue square on the bottom right is the Punch, and the round piece on the top right is the Cutter – the Cutter fits on the Cutting Track (horizontal clear blue rail).
The Tab Alignment Bar goes in the left holes for the Side Tabs and the right holes for the Corner Rounder (of course, there’s a corner rounder, duh).
Let’s Go.

Right Tab: I lined it up along the Tab Alignment Bar (in the left photo) and pressed the Punch – right photo shows the cut.
Turn the paper over and line it up with the size tab you want – small, medium or large (squiggly lines to the right of the Punch) – I’m making a small tab. The right photo shows the cut tab.
Now I need to trim off the excess paper – line the paper up along the Cutting Track, fit the Cutter into the track, press down and slide it sideways.

I found that it tears the paper when I go left . . . sooo . . . I only ran it to the right.
To round the corners, put the Tab Alignment Bar in the holes on the right under the Punch, and Punch.

Left tab: Start on the back side of your paper and repeat the above steps.
Center Tabs: On the left bottom section of the Punch Board are several numbers with vertical lines below them. The numbers are how wide your paper is (mine is 4”) and the S, M, L are the size of your tabs (mine are Small).
I lined up the left edge of the paper on the 4” S line (left pic) – Punch – right pic shows the cut side of the tab.
Flip the paper over to cut the other side of the Tab – line it up with the Tab size (mine is S) – a pic of the cut Tab is on the right.
Finally, to trim off the excess paper – I lined the paper along the Cutting Track, fit the Cutter into the track, pressed down and slid the Cutter sideways. This time, both sides of the Tab had to be trimmed.
Here are my 3 Tabs – So. Easy.
