Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!
I am making a pink anniversary gate fold card. Above is a screenshot of Cricut Design Space. One huge advantage of making your own cards is how you can customize them for specific people and occasions.
So . . . my husband likes to fish (fish in the middle), I added pink highlights to my hair when I retired (who knew pink hair came with an attitude), and it’s our 36th anniversary. All things I included in the card – awesome, huh?
Above are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Smoothie, Pixie, Raspberry (new color this year), and Cocoa.
The card is the ‘Dear To My Heart Card’ from the Cricut “Valentine’s Day” cartridge. The fish is from the “Create A Critter” cartridge. The font for the numbers is from the “Monogram Motifs” cartridge.
Here’s the fish – I ran the pieces through my Xyron – it puts adhesive on the back from edge to edge and makes assembly Sooooo Easy!!
This is called a gate fold card because it folds and meets in the front somewhere – it can meet in the center or off to one side.
I used my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Generator app to get the paper size and punch guide measurement for my Envelope Punch Board. I can ALWAYS make envelopes that coordinate with my cards, woohoo!!!!
Here’s the finished card and envelope. I used markers to embellish the card a little – right on trend with the adult coloring book fad.
