November 2015 Paper Panduh

2015-11-19 10.26.34

Hello! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! The November 2015 Paper Panduh box is here.

Aaaaaagh!!! Here’s my purple package!!!

2015-11-19 10.27.41

The ends of the box are purple this month – how cool is that?!?!

2015-11-19 10.29.06

Inside is this beautiful black and white striped tissue paper . . . tied with a wide black satin ribbon . . . and a sticker with my initial on it . . . I am in love with this!

For me, the anticipation is as good as what’s inside – my daughter calls this the “user experience.” The joy it brings me is worth MUCH more than the price of the kit . . .

2015-11-19 10.30.11
A #GIRLBOSS is someone who’s in charge of her own life. She gets what she wants because she works for it.

Yep.

2015-11-19 10.31.17

Emma always writes a nice message, which happens to include free shipping this month . . .

2015-11-19 10.32.33

Look at this, Oh My God Awesome, dayna lee collection Girl boss pencil case. What a beautiful color!

2015-11-19 10.33.40

Inside the box is some Little B black and gold honeycomb washi tape, a black pencil with “LIKE A BOSS” in gold on it and a black 0.5 mm pen wrapped in black tissue paper with a gold ribbon tied around it – a surprise inside a surprise, lol. There’s a black journaling card that says “she believed she could, so she did.” And a giant gold see-through clip.

2015-11-21 20.49.08

Then . . . there’s a journaling card that says “The things you are passionate about are not random, they are your calling.” There are two sets of Sessa Vee gold foil planner stickers, five sheets of 4 x 8 cardstock – 3 black, 1 pink quatrefoil design, and 1 with a gold foil script design. There’s a notepad with diamond watermarks and the words “plan – hustle – repeat” across the top. Wait, not done yet . . . there’s a package of 18 gold foiled journal cards.

Phew . . . these kits are jam-packed with beautiful things – can’t wait to use them!

2015-11-21 21.00.31

In the bottom of the box, I found this diamond . . . not sure if it came off something in the box, but I hope not. It was icing on the cake for me. What an unbelievably beautiful box of surprises!!!

This months’ kit has an elegant black, white and gold #girlboss theme. It is just beautiful!

December 2015 Cocoa Daisy Kit

2015-11-16 22.12.41

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

I broke out the December 2015 Cocoa Daisy Kit supplies and I had SO MUCH FUN!!

I used one of the talk bubbles above a stamped cats’ head showing his Christmas wish (lol). Talk bubbles let you add your own dialogue – I love that . . .

I used the washi tape to divide Saturday and Sunday – sometimes it’s hard to keep them separate because they’re on the same line/section. The sticker on Saturday adds a little Christmas touch.

Don’t you just love the colors? They’re not your traditional Christmas colors. However there are subtle Christmas touches in their other designs – pretty cool!!!

2015-11-16 22.14.39

I went through each week and dated them, put in all the stickers, stamped cats here and there, and entered appointments that I know. Doesn’t the pink pen look nice with the color scheme?

2015-11-16 22.16.11

I’ve started my checklist for a family Christmas I am hosting on Saturday of this week – lots more things will be added as this week unfolds.

2015-11-16 22.18.01

Here’s Christmas week – also, lots more things to add the closer it gets!!

2015-11-16 22.19.25

And . . . the last week that includes New Year’s Eve & Day, and our last family Christmas get together of the year.

2015-11-16 22.20.58

Cocoa Daisy inserts give me plenty of space to make lists – groceries, to do’s, quotes . . .

Look at the cat head peeking out from the top, aaaaagh, toooo cute!!

2015-11-16 22.22.28

I don’t use the “daily to do” pages very often, but obviously, with everything that has to be done in the month of December, to do lists are exceptionally useful.

Did you notice the candy cane in the glass of water – isn’t that just soooooo cute????

What do you think about the subtle holiday touches in this months’ kit?

December 2015 Cocoa Daisy Day Planner

2015-11-13 21.36.40

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

Look! I found Simon on the outside of my December 2015 Cocoa Daisy Day Planner mailer box!! Isn’t he just so darned cute, in a very nerdy kind of way???

2015-11-13 21.41.25

I have definitely decided that black and white polkadots are my favoritest design ever . . . mmmhmmm . . .

2015-11-13 21.47.00

A reminder to “Enjoy Every Day” – Livin’ the Moments . . .
2015-11-13 21.48.42The December day planner kit includes:
• 32 double sided daily to do pages
• 1 double sided month tab page
• 5 double sided week in review pages
• 5 double sided weekly overview pages
• 1 3×5 Exclusive notepad – it has a really cute aqua cat on every page
• 1 5×7 Exclusive planner sticker sheet – coordinates with the rest of the kit
• Exclusive Cocoa Daisy Kitty Stamp Set – this has cats and lots of sayings
• 1 roll multi dot washi tape – the colors remind me of Fruit Stripe gum – remember that?
• Baxter set of two sticky notes – cute little kitty faces

2015-11-13 21.50.38

These are not your traditional December designs. They used fruity colors and have cats – not a Christmas green or red in sight – just a sneaky little holiday touch here and there, lol.

I’m still lovin’ the washed out watercolor look on the planner pages.

2015-11-13 21.55.57

Dripping paint, quilt, cat in a box (giggle).

2015-11-13 21.57.56

Kind of a strawberry look, more cats, look at the candy cane in the water glass!!!! Aaaaaaaa!!

2015-11-13 22.04.33

I just love things in cellophane bags – you can kind of see what’s inside . . . but not quite . . . I just love that . . .

2015-11-13 22.06.05

I am seeing the cutest paper clips everywhere! Look at these Poppin Pink clips, they’re hot pink and a fun, fun shape!

Word bubbles are so much fun – you can customize dialogue to fit what’s going on in your planner – lovely way to make it your own, huh? These ones are from Pretty Little Studio.

Okay . . . so there’s a little bit of Christmas on the planner charm – look at the bow on that kitty!!

What do you think about the non-traditional Christmas colors and designs?

SVGCuts Pumpkin Carriage

svgcuts pic

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

I am making the SVGCuts Pumpkin Carriage from their Enchanted Autumn Kit.

Svgcuts.com is my favorite source for svg files because:

• They ALWAYS work
• They are Cricut Design Space friendly
• They have assembly videos
• THEY ALWAYS COME OUT AWESOME

**The only problem is that you have to remember to attach the score lines**

Screen Shot

Here is a screenshot of my Cricut Design Space workspace.

2015-11-21 21.11.55

Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock in the following colors:

Fern – Wheels, Leaves
Pear – Vines, Cart
Thistle – Lid panels
Eggplant – Lanterns
Sweet Leaf – Cart panels
Autumn Terracotta – Door Panel
Sunset – Door
Goldrush – Pumpkin
Nevermore – Pumpkin Panels

2015-11-21 21.13.17

Here is the carriage section. I added rhinestones to give it a little bling and a button on the top.

2015-11-21 21.14.25

I sparkled it up with heidi swapp’s Bronzer Color shine, Perfect Pearls mist, stickles Icicle glitter glue, Tim Holtz Distress stickles in Peeled Paint and Bundled Sage.

2015-11-21 21.15.49

Here is the finished carriage. It is just adorable and will be a beautiful addition to my Thanksgiving decor.

2015-11-21 21.17.09

And . . . here it is waiting for Thanksgiving. You can also see the cornstalk luminaries I showcased in my last blog. They are also from the svgcuts Enchanted Autumn file.

Let me know if you’ve ever used SVGCuts.com files. I would love to know what you think about their files and which projects you’ve done.

SVGCuts Enchanted Autumn Cornstalk Luminaries

Screen Shot

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I am making SVGCuts Enchanted Autumn Cornstalk Luminaries.

The svg files from this website are:

*Reasonably priced
*Easy to upload to Cricut Design Space
*Super easy to assemble
*Come out AWESOME!!

I don’t know who tests these files to debug them, but I have yet to use one of their files that doesn’t work right the first time! They also have assembly videos for each project – I don’t know about you, but seeing something assembled makes it seem so much easier!

2015-11-16 22.03.57

Each cornstalk luminary has two pieces that I cut out of Close To My Heart Champagne cardstock.

2015-11-16 22.07.17

I got tealights from Amazon and they were 2 dozen for $13.95 – which comes out to $1.16 each – Oh Yeah!!

2015-11-16 22.05.37

Here are the finished luminaries – the paper is wrapped around the tealight and glued – that’s it. Seriously, easy.

I tied a piece of twine around the top and bent the tops out a little. I swear, this project took me about 20 minutes from start to finish, and THEY CAME OUT AWESOME!!!

The luminaries are paired up with the Enchanted Autumn Pumpkin Carriage I explain in another blog.

Sophisticated Soiree Birthday Card

Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 3.59.36 PM copy

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today!

I am making a Sophisticated Soiree Birthday Card for my brother’s girlfriend – her favorite color is . . . yep, PURPLE!!

It’s an easy level card from the Anna Griffin Sophisticated Soiree cartridge, and is called “Chain Invitation.”

I was intrigued by its assembly – if you look at the above Design Space screenshot, you’ll see tabs on the dark purple section on the right side and across the bottom.

Hmm . . . the lattice design is an overlay that is not adhered directly to the base.

2015-11-11 17.31.30

The cardstock I used is from Close To My Heart, and includes:

My Reflections Sarita (this is the patterned paper)
Eggplant
White Daisy

I embellished it with heidi swapp’s Amethyst color mist on the white layer and inside the envelope. I also used the Perfect Pearls mist on the inside of the card.

Um, yeah, mists hide a lot – I tend to get carried away with glue – AND they make your projects glimmer – WIN, WIN!!

In hindsight, I wish I would’ve put a shadow behind the words. After it was finished, I think the words blend in too much. Also, the “Bi” was separate and hard to line up and center on the card. I love the shadow effect the lattice makes on the front, though!

2015-11-11 17.30.16

Here’s the inside of the card. The lattice design from the cards’ front is repeated in the cardstock pattern on the inside – Go Me!! Her favorite color is purple . . . and there’s A LOT of purple on this card!

Firefighter Birthday Card

Card Screen Shot

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I am making a Firefighter Birthday Card for my grandson’s 3rd birthday.

In my last blog I did the decorations for the party. Now I am showing you the birthday card I made for his present. It was pretty simple – I added text, and pieced a firetruck and fire for the front.

2015-11-06 22.19.32

This is the Close To My Heart cardstock I used:

Poppy for the Base and the Firetruck
Sunset for the outside of the fire
Honey for the top layer, the inside of the fire, and the firetruck base
Black for the ladder and the tires

I used Stickles in Christmas Red to glitterate (I love this word, lol) the words and the fire.

Card assembly was simply gluing the pieces (firetruck and fire) onto the top layer (Sunset), and gluing the top layer onto the Poppy card base – Voila! Finished card!!

It came out adorable! Just right for a three-year-old future firefighter . . .

Firefighter Party Decor

Banner

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! As I mentioned in a previous blog, I have two grandchildren that share a birthday, five years apart. These decorations are for the Firefighter Birthday Party. I made a banner that says “Zach is 3.”

Fire and props

I made some wall decorations – fire extinguisher, axe, fire hydrant, fire, hose, stars and some 3’s.

Firehat

I made firefighter hats, a cake topper and a firetruck.

2015-11-06 22.14.05

Here’s the banner.

I used Close To My Heart cardstock in Honey for the banners and CTMH Poppy for the letters and number.

2015-11-06 22.16.43

CTMH Poppy for the Hose, Stars, Fire hydrant, Fire extinguisher, Axe, Base for 3
CTMH Honey for the Stars, 3’s, Fire
CTMH Sunset for the Fire
2015-11-07 22.22.37

Here are the banner and the smaller decorations on the wall.

2015-11-06 22.15.19

I made firefighter hats. I used CTMH Poppy for the Hat, CTMH Honey for the Label base, and CTMH Black for the Design.

2015-11-06 22.18.06

This is the cake topper – I cannot take credit for “Sound the Alarm” but I also could not find who to give the credit to – there are numerous projects on Pinterest using these words.
I used CTMH Honey for the Firetruck base, Cake topper layer, CTMH Poppy for the Firetruck, Letters, Cake topper base, CTMH Black for the Ladder, Tires, and CTMH Sunset for the Hose.
2015-11-07 22.20.44
Here’s the firefighter hat and the cake with the topper.

2015-11-07 22.18.53

And . . . a closeup of the cake – my daughter frosted it – she’s awesome!!

Wolf Birthday Card

Card Screen Shot

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! In my last blog, I showed the wolf decorations for my granddaughter’s birthday party. Today I am making the Wolf Birthday Card for her present. It has a wolf theme . . . of course, lol.

I used Cricut Explore Design Space to create the card. I bought the wolf – it’s from the Cricut Camp Out cartridge (I flipped the image so it pointed the other way), the grass is from the Cricut Spring Seasonal cartridge, the moon is a free shape, and the font is All Mixed Up.

2015-11-06 22.25.42

Here is the front of the card, and I think it came out awesome! I used Close To My Heart cardstock in the following colors:

Crystal Blue – Base
Whisper – Background layer
Cocoa – Wolf Base
Slate – Wolf top layer
Olive – Grass
Honey – Moon

I used various colored Stickles to glitterate (not a word, lol) the card.

To make the curved letters, I inserted a circle, ungrouped the letters of the word, moved each letter around the circle, then removed the circle. It was pretty easy – kind of tedious – but it gave the effect I wanted.

The wolf is from the Cricut “Camp Out” cartridge.

2015-11-06 22.27.01

Here’s the inside of the card. I got the paws from the Cricut “Car Decals” cartridge.

My granddaughter asked if I made the card, I told her I did, she looked it over carefully, smiled, and sincerely said, “Thank you.” Aaaaaaaagh, Love that girl!!!

Wolf Party Decorations

Signs and glasses

Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I am making Wolf Party Decorations.

Unbelievably, I have two grandchildren that share the same birthday, five years apart – it’s pretty cool – I mean, what are the odds that of three grandchildren, two of them would be born on the same day?

My granddaughter, who’s eight, wanted a “wolf” party. She helped me choose the decorations – I LOVE that she’s old enough to plan with!!

She chose a wolf face, a howling wolf, a birthday girl Photo Booth prop, and star glasses for herself and robot glasses for her brother and her cousin.

She also requested blue and gray as her color scheme – love this color combination!

2015-11-06 22.21.10

Here are the “Birthday Girl” Photo Booth props and the star glasses.

I used Close To My Heart Slate for the Base and CTMH Crystal Blue for the top layer.

I embellished with silver Stickles – you can never have too much sparkle, right?
2015-11-06 22.23.02

Here is the howling wolf. I used CTMH Colonial White for the base and CTMH Crystal Blue for the top layer.

2015-11-06 22.24.23

Here is the Wolf poster, I used CTMH Whisper for the base, CTMH Slate for the Wolf’s face, and CTMH Crystal Blue for the “Party Time!” words.

2015-11-07 22.13.52

Here are the pictures of the decorations at the party.

2015-11-07 22.15.41

2015-11-07 22.17.28
Making things for my grandchildren, is especially fun! I made all of these items in one evening – you can’t get any easier than that!
