Hi Guys! Come on in and see what I’m doing today! I’m making my 2015 Halloween Cards.
Above is my Cricut Design Space file for a waterfall card. I watched a YouTube video by Dawn’s Stamping Thoughts on how to make it. She cut the pieces out manually, whereas I used Cricut Design Space. The Black cardstock is 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”, the green is 4” x 5 1/4””, the orange base is 4 1/2 x 11 1/2”, 4 black squares at 2” x 2””, 4 white squares at 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”, a black band at 1” x 4 1/4”, and an orange strip at 9” x 2”. I put score lines at 2” – 2 3/4” – 3 1/2” – 4 1/4”.
I used a Precise V7 Fine Rolling Ball pen to write my sentiment. I also used a font I found on dafont.com called Halloween Spider – it looks really cool written – it’s all capitals and has spiders and webs interwoven throughout the letters.
Here are the cutout pieces. I used Close To My Heart cardstock for all the pieces:
Black
White Daisy
Nevermore B&T Duos
Eggplant
Whisper
Sunset
I stamped on the white squares with the Close To My Heart “Little Monsters” stamp set. I used Perfect Pearls Mist to mist all the black pieces, they’re all sparkly. Then I used Tim Holtz Halloween brads on the the strip that holds the waterfall part on the card.
I used colored pencils and a blender pen to color the stamped images and then I fussycut them (this means I cut around them, lol).
Here are the finished cards – they are so much fun for kids to play with (they’re for my grandchildren). When you pull the ribbon, the pictures “waterfall” one after the other.
And . . . here is the inside of the cards.
